Re: News from Forum Participants

gin in cider sounds disgusting, id stick to a natural ferment scrumpy like the normandy stuff. we have new puppies which is akin to babies, leaving wide planks of wood across the bottom of all main exits should suffice until fences can be upgraded. nod, It was a local farmer and scrumpy brewer who ...

Re: News from Forum Participants

Folks, Update: Three things. First - alcohol. We have apples, lots and lots of apples. So, we need a cider press and some suitable containers for fermenting. Should have a good stew within weeks. The locals tell me that the addition of gin to cider makes for a good drink, something akin to the addit...

WW 111

Hi, I'm a friendly and approachable bloke and lots of people chat and open up to me. In the last few weeks, several people have told me “There is a war coming.” This is not just friends and acquaintances, it is even strangers in the street or in a pub! I can't remember a time when the street vibe ha...

Re: News from Forum Participants

Folks, Update: I've decided to call it the 'settlement'. We don't have any steers and its not really a farm, just some extensive woodland. We have a cabin that can be moved on the back of a truck and the composting toilette. Anyway, we also now have a landline phone and essential services, but not o...

What do conservatives fear?

Hi, What is it that conservatives fear? They talk a tough game at all times and in all parts of the world, but there is something that they fear, viscerally, and on an existential level. What is it? The Belgian writer, Lauryssens, writes of a proto – fascist in pre ww11 Germany: “For Moeller van den...

Re: News from Forum Participants

Guys, News from the ranch. We have nowhere to deposit the baby. Every place is dangerous, especially the storm drains. I'm trying to convince our daughter that she needs some kind of baby cage outdoors with good fencing and astroturf. Maybe in sight of the kitchen window? This is the total G...

Re: News from Forum Participants

my best mate spent top dollar on a composting toilet, solar, water tanks on his place but the local council decided it wanted to gentrify and started charging him for those services so it could then afford to provide them and handle more development. the world is getting a bit full for that kind of...

Re: News from Forum Participants

Folks,

Our daughter and her eco-warrior family are living in the woods. They have just finished building a compost toilet in a nice shed with steps leading up to it. I suggested they call it 'Trump Tower' and the suggestion has been accepted with much mirth! :D

Guys, We have to rely on our hamster for home security. I have a hangover today after good wine and a little whiskey last night. Bikes and drugs

Hi, Partakers of street drugs will tell us that it is an on/off thing. When you are high you can't imagine the feeling of being straight, and when your straight you can't imagine the feeling of being high. The drug changes body chemistry and when its gone, its gone. I'm feeling the same way about th...

The death of a pet animal

Our hamster has died His name is Felix. He lived a long time, was always friendly and peaceful to be around. Two days ago he was taking pieces of carrot from my hand, then he seemed muddled and then today my wife found him in one of his his tubes, dead. There are so many things to say about Felix. T...
