Re: The Donald....the newest savior.....

The more people see him the more they like him. Watching him speak its easy to understand. Mr P, I think you are correct. Sticking with the Obama deal on Iran, taxing the rich, supporting legal gay marriage - what's not to like? This guy appeals to everyman. Alex. Very few democrats believe this. W...

Trump is a real anti-establishment candidate. The old Rove/Bush brigades will be sent off the plank. Every single person in the orbit will have to earn their seat. For once I'm with Simple Minded. It's going to be something to watch. Yeah! It's like watching for a train accident to occur and see ho...

I participated, for two years, in a successful counterinsurgency war in Angola, and I have a pretty good idea of how important it is to avoid antagonizing the local population. So, the US military was incompetent? 150,000 soldiers with the best modern weapons was too tiny a force? You start from the assumption that "one million" soldiers could have transformed Iraq for the better, this within "no longer than five years". That assumption is not only unp...

Trouble with intervention in the ME was the fact that it was always too small to achieve the desired ends. So should we cut our losses and get out? To answer properly we need to grasp the difference between saying that Greece, and other countries, should not have entered the eurozone, and saying now that we should now exit.
