Re: POTUS Election 2024 | Here we go again . . .
Watched the T H debate. H did a "good" job (the usual toxic mix of half-fact, outright lies and feel-good rethorics) while T completely blew it IMHO. What a clumsy debater he is. He could have scored a 10-2 win but lost this match 1-2. But will it make any difference in november?

Kraken looks like an interesting blue water yacht builder.
A Kraken 50 for a cracking € 1,5M with a yearly 50K to sail it, live on it, maintain it, but wth...

Re: Kumbaya and Tolerating Intolerance
The only thing I know about Karl P. are his musings about the scientific method, falsification, which all made good sense. True enough for all abstract and very general deliberations; how apply these intellectual constructs in the world of complex chaotic action, of law and ordah, where the cultural...

Kumbaya and Tolerating Intolerance
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GV_0-H6XkAAi8zP?format=jpg&name=medium It becomes more complicated when, for instance, certain British elites who identify as "woke" genuinely believe that some native British populists—whom they label as “ultra-right-wing and racist”—pose a serious threat ...

Re: The U.K.
“A Communist system can be recognized by the fact that it spares the criminals and criminalizes the political opponent.” ― Alexander Solschenizyn Indeed, communism is just one guise of the same underlying force. This force can also take the form of fascism, military dictatorships, or any feudal, to...
Re: The U.K.
This new EU stasi priesthood is disgusting. The spirit of Empire is old and biological, but smaller tribal-national territorial units have this habit of eventually cutting them up again into more sustainable units. Tech dependency brings its own risks attached. Durable nailpolish when no longer re-a...

Re: Issues of Race in the USA
Uncancelled History with Douglas Murray Chat GPT summarizes: The issue of slave ownership among early American political figures, particularly during the time when slavery was legal in the United States, predates the formal establishment of the Republican and Democratic parties. As a result, the co...

Re: On conservative and libertarian stupidity
It seems unlikely much changes. Always a close call who wins. The choking stranglehold of the two-party system, the tribalized everything or nothing mentality across the board. Everybody preaching to their own church. Maybe swingvoters swing or not swing for more random arbitrary reasons. In the me...

What keeps amazing me, is that what is still a rather small minority has so much power. There must be some Dr Phil type psychology-sociology going on.
