Re: Dangerously Divided America
Doc I actually believe the sound will be greater than the fury. As for Big Tech, sure it's powerful, but Parler being run by clowns is more of the story. They were violating the AWS TOS by not moderating the violent threats. If they wanted to allow people the freedom to make threats, they should ha...

noddy I'll probably try my hand at some brewing. I got a Kombucha kit for Christmas from the missus. Mostly looking forward to having all kinds of fresh herbs and vegetables.

Hi Doc Been a while. That 3D printing idea didn't work out. We didn't get the investment capital. We worked on more analytics and web app stuff instead. Bought a house in the country, looking forward to growing some food here soon. It will be interesting to see what happens soon with the fight again...

Re: Dangerously Divided America
Zack Reading your posts with the nested replies really tells me a lot about the Divided America. Funny bit though, the conversations are about the same as they were 10 years ago. Something fundamentally shifted though. Authoritarian big tech has a free hand for now because Trump's army of morons ov...

Re: Understanding basic market operations
The facts are minorities are doing better under Trump than obama, and is part of the reason why he polling so much better among them these days. The facts are sustained job growth occurred for 6 straight years beginning in 2012. ;) But this year's economy is great. I will say Trump's economy so far...

Retail isn't being killed though. It's just a few bellwether brands that we are used to being fixture staples. The world doesn't really need a giant toy store chain. It's not like there is a lack of toy stores around. And video games slaughtered the toy market, not Amazon or Wal Mart. Kids just aren...

Re: Understanding basic market operations
The concern that crypto currencies have with 'double spending' justifies the blockchain transaction log, I get that. But the double spending that concerns me is the double entry book keeping that drives inflation through funding by deficit. Borrowing against the future to pay the present. My questi...

Sure, pointing out that your facts are 'alternate' is dodging. To dodge something, the object being thrown has to exist.Mr. Perfect wrote: Lol, still dodging as poorly as ever.
Umm what? Why would a terrible person encourage good things for minority groups and pardon minorities left and right.

Depends on what faith and credit you rely upon.
You have faith in paper, I have faith in digital transactions for exactly what they are worth.
At the end of the day it's all agreements between institutions.

I don't think we need $100 commissions and 50 cent spreads anymore. $100 commission is fine by me if I get the certificate and the equity is registered in my name. The discount broker & 401k scams are only for those willing to surrender first rights of ownership to Cede, Inc. If there is even a...

It's endlessly hilarious to watch a former Fleabagger trying in essence to become an insider trader. It's almost like you could have predicted it. Odds that Tinker will vote Trump next time? Why would I vote for Trump? He is the worst of America. I was NEVER anticapitalist. I also have no inside in...

Seems like for Pharma there are a lot of winner take all moments because of the monopolization of treatment for a particular malady. The total size of the market for many of these monopolies is fixed so when one wins, others are unlikely to try and come after that market. Which is why vulture like V...

I am not getting into BioTech investing really. I am just interested to see who is doing the promising Crispr work. Because I think there will probably be a handful of companies that are likely contenders that will be obvious before the stock price hits the knee of the curve.

This is a market I know very little about, but I came across this interesting little piece of info. Not really sure what to do with it yet.
