And to YMix's point, noted Canadian philosopher, Neil Peart, summed it up wisely: You can choose a ready guide in some celestial voice, If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice. You can choose from phantom fears and kindness that can kill, I will choose a path that's clear, I will c...

Those statements are either True or False, propositionally speaking. Select one: [1] True [2] False [3] Don't know/Don't have proof either way/I'll look into this one of these days But that's the problem: if you have 40,000 manuscripts to cross-reference for the New Testament, and only 400 to relat...

How do you guys even know of the texts are reliable? A good question, but it works either way. Either the text is unreliable or you accept the text and it is still possible to interpret any number of ways. Hypothetically you could even take a faith position towards the text that it is the %100 lite...

Re: Outsource _both_ the pollution and slave labor, Baby!
I can't wait for a higher minimum wage so that aggregate wage levels rise and large corporations can send my remaining work to India and add to their already obscene hoarding of cash. True story. One flaw. Most of those jobs are service oriented like gas station attendant or waitress. When the wait...

Now Nugent is on P. Morgan's show -- claiming that of the ~80 shooting deaths a day, 70-something are committed by people who should be behind bars (felons?).

I'd be interested in what's cheaper --- a cop in every school, or the litigation/enforcement/incarceration costs of banning SA weapons in America. The usual capitalists' arguments!   It's not a matter of what is cheaper, but what is right. As far as I remember there were no shoot...
