The author makes some good points but I don't see how she comes to her conclusion. An independent Kurdistan would be positive for Israel, as is chaos in the rest of Iraq. The Kurds do not seem interested in southern expansion and would be a good northern neighbor to biblical "greater" Israel.

I imagine the Kurds will take advantage of the current ISIS fracas to solidify their government and will resist further involvement.

Kurds should know better than to trust Iran.....
