Does anyone have any ideas, methods, picks, etc. for investing in small cap stocks? Thanks.

Careful bro... S&P is over 1500 despite a hollow economic recovery and plenty of tripwires around the world.

Yeah don't pick any.

Yes, that is exactly what I was thinking.

Unfortunately, my boss wants me to come up with a small cap model portfolio and some picks for the quarterly newsletter.

I feel like a monkey throwing sh:t at the stock listings in the newspaper, hoping it will stick to the right place.

That's very good advice. Unfortunately, I've been told to do just what he recommended against. My boss wants a buy list.

Pick story stocks. That's what the reader wants, and you can BS your way out whatever happens.

That's what I was thinking. And pick stocks that S&P rates buy or strong buy, so if it doesn't work out, it can be their fault not yours.
