for a compassionate tech geek......
Create a website with a interesting name like wearetheworld, worldwidecompassion, F**kYoutube, inyourface, or savingtheworld etc.
Viewers have to pay $.05 each time they visit, posters pay $.01 per keystroke to post, members who pay a quarterly fee, get to list their favorite charities as the organizations the website will fund. Non profit, all involved make 3x (?) minimum wage, all profits go to the charities that are decided by dues paying members.
No rules on content posting.
Probably 5 or 10 websites may be needed, separated by subject matter to encourage specialization and hook the posters & viewers.
In a year or two you will do more good than most political parties.

Re: billion dollar charitable fund raisng idea
This business model would fail hard. It wouldn't be worth the $ 200k it would take to execute.Simple Minded wrote:for a compassionate tech geek......

Men often oppose a thing merely because they have had no agency in planning it, or because it may have been planned by those whom they dislike.
