Maybe he can clean up in the "I like rich guy elitists with contempt for the common man" demographic.

A three way race between Bloomberg, Sanders and Trump would be:

-A leftwing authoritarian

-an outright socialist

-a rightwing populist

talk about choices!

Don't forget that Sanders is from the Bronx (or one of the other boroughs) and of course Hillary fell in love with NYC the minute they elected her Senator.

It looks like the rest of the country has given up.

I bet you Rudy Giuliani is kicking himself he's not in this race. They told him that we'd never elect anyone from new york. It looks like we're electing everyone from NYC now.

Apparently Palin came out and endorsed Trump.

Okay, whatever. One more clown in a clown car is not going to make a difference.

After that, she then blamed POTUS Obama for her son's aberrant and reprehensible behaviour.

It was always explained to me that the Republicrats are the party of the wholesome proper family and of personal responsibility.

Go figure.

David Goldman .. a must read

Without a return to entrepreneurship, America’s economy will stagnate and America’s middle class will continue to lose ground. Donald Trump represents the triumph of resentment over hope. I don’t know what American voters will do. But I’m frightened.

Last 40 yrs, anybody trying 2B an entrepreneur had to be an idi*t

Chance of succeeding starting a venture is, in best case, 10% .. 9 of 10 business starts fail .. one looses one's savings

All who I know, who went into "real estate speculation" .. made big money .. the entrepreneurs got f*cked.

The crooks in Wall Street rigged the system.

Look, all those Oil & Gas technology, ultra deep water drilling, LNG plants, General Electric, and and .. they f*cked

Those buying $ 200 m condos in Manhattan, they made all in real estate .. all the money FED pumped into banks after the crash , all, went to real estate (low risk) ... non to entrepreneurship (high risk)

Billionaire are the "money shufflers" .. that is the definition of "Hedge Funds", they no building a better mouse trap, they just fleecing the entrepreneurs, what they do is creating "VOLATILITY", to shake-up the creators, to separate the builders from their creation .. this a paradise for crooks, that is why wealth is wiped-out, and created, overnight.

In that sense, David Goldman's is "crocodile tears" .. he one of the system.

I got a vision...

(...) The crooks in Wall Street rigged the system.
They certainly did. I don't think it explains the whole of US economical woes, or those of other developed nations, but it certainly counts as a factor.

The part of total private profits going to finance / insurance companies is definitely larger now than 30 years ago. And David Goldman failed to mention that among the reasons why many middle-class Americans - like their counterparts of many other developed nations - feel disenfranchized.

About DPG's characterization of Trump as "an Hitler who likes Jews", or being only "about resentment", calling it preposterous would be gentle...

Like his style or not, what is below that style is not resentment, even less militaristic agression nor political violence à la Adolf. A few of Trump's markers:
- Does not want new US wars abroad
- Does not believe in free trade first and foremost & wants a measure of economic protectionism
- Wants to limit new immigration
- Harshly criticizes leeway of the über-rich over the US political process and wants to correct it
- Believes in action, single-man determination pushing for a cause, then striking "deals"

Now, one may agree or disagree with each of those items, but the fact is that none is unprecedented in US history, nor especially original by the way. And this content is not about "resentment".

From what I've learnt about him, I can imagine Trump being the kind of guy who will push as hard as he can & rip your head off if necessary at the negotiating table, then fraternize with you immediately afterwards, 'cause "it's not personal". I suspect him to be a card-carrying member of the "Bargain hard / Party hard" club.

But then, I have a vision. Yes, a vision. I see Trump and Sanders being the nominees for 2016.

===> I see DPG rooting for Bernie Sanders  !

Because after you have accused somebody of being Führer-like, you have to root for his opponent no matter what. Even if he's - gasp - a Socio-Democrat who would be put on the Left even in France!

There is the snake oil seller, and there is the buyer.

The fact that one is a dupe does not change the fact of the other being a crook.

I would never have voted to put all my retirement eggs in the government and banking.

middle class scum took that right off me and demanded it happen.

everytime someone made a profit flipping houses.
everytime someone approved of a new law that made houses safer or more energy efficicent.

basically anytime the middle class did what the middle class did over the last 2 decades.

they voted with it every day of their lives, they deserve all the outcomes.

Amen. Almost every Western nation is currently engaged in deficit spending, which is simply robbing those too young to vote, ie: the true believers eating their young. The nasty part (or the just part, depending upon one's viewpoint) is a couple decades later when the younguns cancel the promises of freebies they never made and start eating their elders.

Hard to feel sorry for those who did not see this coming, simply because they chose to not see it coming.

We wanted social security and health care at the expense of the churren, we got Soylent Green. :(

A pointed lol from me.
America’s embattled middle class doesn’t want charts and graphs, facts and statistics. It wants a leader who will identity culprits and take ruthless action. It’s a different electorate than I remember.
It's the same electorate as ever, as that quote from Dreher shows. Turns out that they don't care about your supply-side ideas. Incredible, isn't it? The peasants are lumping Dreher and Podhoretz with the rest of the establishment and no longer listen to them. What is the world coming to?
Rod Dreher wrote:This was a tribal conservatism, one that had very little to do with ideas, and everything to do with nationalism and a sense of us-versus-them. To be a conservative is to agree with Us; to disagree with us means you must be a liberal.
So you've met Mr. Perfect and his church buddies? My condolences. And thanks for proving my theory that "conservatives" and "liberals" are two bickering minorities floating at the top of the nation with the rest of the scum.

Come on folks, come on

Presidential candidates should let go of Iran bashing .. no traction anymore.

Looks like, smart move would be, for candidates, to FLIP to Iran side.

I'm predicting, Trump will first flipping to Iran side.

Trump can do this as he has no record bashing Iran .. he could easily come with positive words towards Iran

Hillary, Bush and others, has long record of Zionist shoe-shining, Iran bashing .. they can not change corse.
