The why is the easiest part. obama/NSA/CIA spy on EVERYONE, including trump and clinton. Trump found out about it just now and got pissed. Media stupidly turned it into a bomb and it's blowing up in their faces.NapLajoieonSteroids wrote: No, Azari, don't mean to argue with you on this point but he explicitly said this had nothing to do with Russian investigations.
His exact quote was: "‘The reports that I was able to see did not have anything to do with Russia or the Russian investigation or any tie to the Trump team’"
a lot of earlier reports in the day ran with the Russian thing but every source should be up to date on it now. ...
So if they weren't "incidentally" caught with the Russians, what is going on? There is a a BIG 'WHY?' to this story now.

my point wasn't to prove it one way or another, it was to clear up some of the confusion going around about what the guy said: the "Russian thing" and "this thing" are two different cases as far as he was aware....
I think that makes it pretty obvious that it will be bad for obama/deepstate/whatever
but then again, I would think that wouldn't I...?

Bob Woodward: Obama officials possibly facing criminal charges for unmasking scheme
By Daniel Chaitin (@danielchaitin7) • 3/22/17 9:07 PM
The Washington Post's Bob Woodward warned on Wednesday that there are people from the Obama administration who could be facing criminal charges for unmasking the names of Trump transition team members from surveillance of foreign officials.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., said earlier that he had briefed Trump on new information, unrelated to an investigation into Russian activities, that suggested that several members of Trump's transition team and perhaps Trump himself had their identities "unmasked" after their communications were intercepted by U.S. intelligence officials.
The revelation is notable because identities of Americans are generally supposed to remain "masked" if American communications are swept up during surveillance of foreign individuals.
During an interview on Fox News, Woodward said that if that information about the unmasking is true, "it is a gross violation."

Donald Trump is in the middle of a non-stop waking nightmare. Every single day finds the nation's most powerful conspiracy theorist at the center of what might be the biggest conspiracy in our nation's history. And unlike the theories Trump likes to push (Obama having Trump's "wires tapped," Obama not being born in America, etc.), more and more this one seems like the real deal.

Potential 'smoking gun' showing Obama administration spied on Trump team, source says

Eli Lake of Bloomberg Review weighs in
Republican congressional investigators expect a potential “smoking gun” establishing that the Obama administration spied on the Trump transition team, and possibly the president-elect himself, will be produced to the House Intelligence Committee this week, a source told Fox News.
Classified intelligence showing incidental collection of Trump team communications, purportedly seen by committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., and described by him in vague terms at a bombshell Wednesday afternoon news conference, came from multiple sources, Capitol Hill sources told Fox News. The intelligence corroborated information about surveillance of the Trump team that was known to Nunes, sources said, even before President Trump accused his predecessor of having wiretapped him in a series of now-infamous tweets posted on March 4.
The intelligence is said to leave no doubt the Obama administration, in its closing days, was using the cover of legitimate surveillance on foreign targets to spy on President-elect Trump, according to sources.
The key to that conclusion is the unmasking of selected U.S. persons whose names appeared in the intelligence, the sources said, adding that the paper trail leaves no other plausible purpose for the unmasking other than to damage the incoming Trump administration.
The FBI hasn’t been responsive to the House Intelligence Committee’s request for documents*, but the National Security Agency is expected to produce documents to the committee by Friday. The NSA document production is expected to produce more intelligence than Nunes has so far seen or described – including what one source described as a potential “smoking gun” establishing the spying.

Lol. This isn't remotely what Trump accused Obama of. OBAMA wasn't listening in on Trump or Trump Tower. Trump lied and Hannity makes Brazile look like Cronkite.

What the dopes on the right are missing is that Trump's team is being investigated for collusion with a foreign government. Of course the intelligence agencies will conduct a counterintelligence investigation.

By the very same people that say despite mounting evidence there were no wire taps of Trump. obama is ultimately responsible for anything the NSA or CIA do. So yes, obama was listening in on Trump Tower just ast he listens in on you. He was also listening in on the Clinton campaign also.Zack Morris wrote:Lol. This isn't remotely what Trump accused Obama of. OBAMA wasn't listening in on Trump or Trump Tower. Why People Continue to Believe Objectively False Things
Mr. Trump’s claims may appear to his opponents to have been embarrassingly debunked. But social science research suggests that Mr. Trump’s alternative version of reality may appeal to his supporters.
Partisan polarization is now so extreme in the United States that it affects the way that people consume and understand information — the facts they believe, and what events they think are important. The wiretapping allegations could well become part of a partisan narrative that is too powerful to be dispelled.
Mr. Trump, perhaps unconsciously, has grasped a core truth of modern politics: that voters tend to seek out information that fits the story they want to believe, usually one in which members of the other party are the bad guys.

Lol. You and NYT best examples I can find.
obama surveills everyone Azari, including you. Tapped Merkel phone, Nethanyaho, poor Brazillian President. CIA vault 7, spied on Senate. obama spies on US journalists, all out in the open.
obama surveilled Trump and Clinton. Trump just found out about it. That's all.
Also, Russia claims against Trump debunked, NYT/Azari last to know.
Fake news bro. 10 month old story, no facts at all.
NYT predicted HIllary Clinton, 92%. NYT, should change slogan, "Last to Know".
