Congratulations, your president discovered that saber rattling and wars boost approval ratings. Remember when Trump was going to stop those pointless wars and focus on the USA? Yeah...

I don't think so. Trump has pretty much stopped the conflicts in Syria and Iraq. ISIS is now retired. People do not believe the NK threat scenario. Trump scores well on reducing conflict.

I think Trump likes to stir things up and make people react to him instead of the othervway around. It puts him in control, and is a good early game strategy.

Trump approval ratings have gone up -- Among Hispanics 11% according to the Zogby Poll Probably has to do with Sessions wiping out MS-13

Thanks, Obama, for a tremendously well-executed campaign culminating in the liberation of Mosul.
People do not believe the NK threat scenario. Trump scores well on reducing conflict.
Uh huh. Sure he does. Just now he threatened Venezuela with military force. Do you realize how this will play in Latin America and further poisoning relations with our neighbors?

It doesn't really put him in control because he's a lying, bluffing buffoon and everyone has wised up to it. He couldn't get healthcare passed. He probably won't get taxes or infrastructure done. And he certainly seems hopelessly inept when it comes to foreign policy. The man has never shown any ability to think long-term. Our rivals are much, much smarter than him.

You know, one threat that really would have Kim quaking in his shoes is if Donald threatened to start building casinos in North Korea. The ensuing devastation would truly be unlike anything the world has ever seen before -- outside of Atlantic City.

As far as I know, the US invasion force is still deployed around Raqqa, supporting the Kurds, and holding the Al Tanf border crossing. That's just Syria.

I think Trump has no idea what he's doing.

Trump's approval rating is 55% or better, with record media hostility. What are you talking about?

Hillary's have sunk The Media credibility numbers are in the gutter Democrats are looking to get sunken in 2018 They are politically dead politicians walking. Now 60 Democratic members of congress have taken sides with Kim Un Jong with the hope that war with North Korea will kill lots of people. That is a desperate act of last hope. A real hail Satan

I know about fake news. It goes like this:

Trump: The failing New York Times is fake news!
NYT: How about an interview?
Trump: genuflect, yeah! When? Tomorrow? Is tomorrow ok?

What was the margin of error of those polls and how far off was the actual result? Hillary won the popular vote by millions.

 I love how your last line of defense is the rambling of an intoxicated cartoonist. Far from "setting the table", Trump is shooting from the hip with utter disregard for long-term strategic consequences beyond Korea. Most reckless of all was his statement that it's better to sacrifice tens of thousands of people "over there", in South Korea, than here. This will come back to haunt our relationships with allies. "Setting the table" properly would require robust diplomatic legwork, which Tillerson's gutted State Department is incapable of now. Back-channel negotiations are playing a vital role right now in resolving this crisis but the astonishing thing is that they are not being conducted by official representatives of the United States under direction of the Trump administration.

I think it's the second or third comment on this YouTube video that rips Scott Adams to shreds by asking why the same logic didn't apply to the Cuban missile crisis. It's not often that you see a YouTuber actually take someone down.

"The Art of the Deal", Scott Adams, and Geert Wilders -- you really know how to pick 'em, Parodite.

Lol that is not fake news. Fake news is the xenophobic Russian conspiracy theories and the msm polls which were off by 10% last election. That's what fake news is.

Perhaps.

However, Hilary soundly lost the Electoral College, which is what actually matters in a POTUS election.

_____

Given that Hillary is not POTUS and is political history, there is little if any reason to bring her into the US vs NK conflict thread.
