Does anyone know if the vessel was specifically put up as collateral?
Does this matter in a case like this?
That is when a nation contracts/defaults on debts, does ANYTHING it owns, become collateral automatically?
How far can this go?
Recalling cases where Euro nations tried to collect national debts by force....... Venezuela IIRC..........
Remembering some court rulings here in Uz where deposits of individual depositors held by a brokerage firm or bank were seized by a court to pay debts of the firm........
Was warned to check the language for my savings and checking account at a credit union etc.....
