I bet you'd appreciate it. As you said about Warrior, you appreciate movies with heart. This one is heart and soul. Definitely sad in parts, but in the end, one of the "triumph of the human spirit" kind of emotions. Hell, it's only about an hour and a half.

For anyone interested in something different, there are several sites that show subtitled Asian TV dramas and movies.

MySoju [unlicensed]

Viki [licensed]

DramaFeaver [licensed]

At the moment, S Korean TV dramas are the most popular.

I don't care for melodramas. However, some of the better comedies may be compared to the US screwball comedies of the 1930's with their surreal situations and behaviours.

The man who can't get married [Japanese]

Lie to me [Korean]

History of the Salaryman [Korean]

Gokusen [Japanese]

Dramas:

Dong Yi [Dawn] [Korean]

Boss [Japanese]

Sorry if this has already been posted, but I'm more excited about this one than I've been for awhile (I'm going to see it tomorrow and will provide a full review):

Hooooooooly lavender. I just saw The Raid. I know I promised a full review, but there isn't much to say other than get off your lazy asses and go see this amazing movie right f*cking now.

If you have not already seen it, then you might also enjoy the S Korean movie Old Boy.

From the trailer I'd say there is not enough action.

Finally saw the new version of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy

KfU7M3RU63I

A very good movie, but not a great one: the ending is brilliant.

NaDFkQ-s_CY

In a perfect world, the remake would have been another 7 episode miniseries, as was the original BBC production with Alec Guiness as George Smiley, as it is difficult to condense the plot into less than two hour without making the movie come across as an extended trailer.

Worth seeing.

Saw it, miraculously finding a non-dubbed Russian cinema. It is GOOD. Particularly enjoyed the fact that the Volscians are quite unmistakably meant to be Serbs. Gave it some 90s flavor... Ralph Fiennes is his usual awesome self.
