Robin Williams Talks To A Gorilla, You Won't Believe What She Asks Him To Do!

While the quality of this video is a little dated, it’s definitely a must watch! Not only is the legendary actor and comedian Robin Williams paling around with Koko, a gorilla who is fluent in American Sign Language, but what these two end of doing together is completely and utterly adorable!

Watching a gentle Williams interact with Koko will melt your heart. At one point, right after Koko takes off and wears Williams’ eye glasses, she begins to go through his pockets and steals his wallet! Then, suddenly, Koko starts signing “tickle” to Williams. This sweet gorilla wants nothing more than to get tickled by this Hollywood heavyweight. Of course Williams obliged and cuteness ensures.

Rest in peace, Robin. You will be missed.

Williams' death was tragic, but I wasn't too surprised to find out he was depressed. There were often points in his stand-up performances where his brilliant improvisations degenerated into flight of ideas. His mania wasn't as pathological as that of Jonathan Winters or Andy Kaufman but it was certainly there.

A touch of bipolar disorder is often an asset to a young person, but it can become a problem with age. It's hard to believe that someone who brought so much joy to others could no longer find any within himself.

There is some truth in that, Parodite, but untreated depression is the #1 cause of suicide. Do the SSRI's cause suicide, or do they delay it? The disease and the treatment are completely confounded.
