Levitas

Tea is nought but this: first you heat the water, then you make the tea. Then you drink it properly.

Inspired by nonc's post above, if you have the choice between rednecks, lawyers, politicians, or climate scientists moving into your neighborhood, it's a no brainer.

I bet it really hurts when you "step on it".

VF | Al Jaffee and the Mad Magazine Fold In
VF: My favorite line from your biography, Mad Life, is when you claim that at an early age you “set out to prove that adults were full of sh*t.” That almost sounds like a mission statement for your life’s work.

Al Jaffee: It could be. Some days I think I was being too harsh. But then I pick up a newspaper and read about what’s happening in the world, and I think, “Yep, I had it right.”

Are all adults full of sh*t, or just certain ones?

Parents and teachers and politicians. It doesn’t matter who they are. As a little kid, if you have any kind of brain at all, you begin to see that the world operates under a very twisted set of rules. Adults tell you one thing, but then they do another. If you dwell on that hypocrisy for too long, well . . .

You could end up a professional cartoonist.

[Laughs] That has been known to happen.

Just got off the phone with "Addiction Specialists" Told them I am addicted to Di Hydrogen Monoxide. After a long conversation about the lethal effects of over dosing on it and how I was afraid of the deadly withdraw, the womon on the phone looked it up and read the description aloud. I suppose she googled it. Then she hung up at the point the article she was reading said it was a hoax.

How "racist" of her. Di Hydrogen Monoxide addicts have right to !!!

[Unlike Christmas Eve, which has become marketed as Valentine's day for the young and analogous to Thanksgiving for families,
Japanese companies have no idea how to market Easter.]

Quite. The Kanamara Matsuri, for example.

One of the few situations wherein the phrase "eat a bag of dicks" is not offensive.
