The only thing , as usual with these apocolyptic types is it never was that unipolar - countries like India and China have been doing their own thing the entire time, and will always generally do what suits them - including cooperating with the west.

some westerners might romanticise "bringing industry back home" but I doubt many zoomers are wanting to do 12 hrs a day in the mines or factories at cheaper rates than a third world country person will do it.
