Obamacare lotto

Post by Doc »

Under Obamacare people whose health insurance exceeds 8% of the annual income are to be exempted from paying the $685 or 2.4% (whichever is greater)of tax on annual income if they don't buy insurance. Last night there was a $550 million powerball lottery jackpot. One in five Americans think the best way to get rich is winning the lottery. In some districts people making $13,000 per year spend 9% of their gross income to play. As mentioned above If health insurance exceeds 8% of income then there is no need to pay. So why doesn't the same standard apply to government lotteries?
