Mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology are science.
My rule of thumb is that any field that has "science" in it's name isn't:
political science, social science, scientific socialism, cognitive science [psychology], scientific eugenics, climate science, etc.
Climate science today is a good example of what C.S. Lewis [and you] call "Scientism" gone out of control. The eugenics movement of our time.
