The prophesied demise of the Democrat Party
We [the Republicans] have returned to the Reagan arc. We are the supermajority party. We own over 66% of state offices, 60% of governorships, healthy house majority, retained the Senate in a bad calendar year. Even by Democrat logic we will surge in 2018 to close to 60 senate seats.

. . . .

The end of a party [the Democrats] now exposed as collectivist statist criminals, will now be erased from the earth. We will be cruel. We will tell the truth and record it in the histories. The party of Slavery, segregation, Tammany Hall, marxism, soviet appeasement, terror appeasement, and record corruption and criminality in their final candidate. It won't be missed.
It is difficult to make predictions, especially about the future.

~ Niels Bohr, attributed.
New prediction. Losing this POTUS election may be the best thing that has ever happened to Trump.

Losing the US Senate majority and failing to regain a majority in the US House may prove to be the best thing that ever happened to the US Republican party.

The Spaniard in the works is US mainstream media turning Soviet* and US social media adopting Soviet style censorship.
Promotion - agitprop - in favour of one party.

*Pravda and Izvestia were the two major newspapers in Soviet Russia. In Russian, "Pravda" means "Truth" and "Izvestia" means "News".

Soviet era humour - updated:
In Pravda [New York Times] there is no news and in Izvestia [Washington Post] there is no truth.
"insurrection" is the new "RUSSIA!!" "RUSSIA" "RUSSIA"

I am sure this all would be sorted out if there was not factors that are external to the US in play. The GOP establishment will do just fine. Trump was bad for business. The CIA has paid Journalists for decades
THE CIA AND THE MEDIA
Among the executives who lent their cooperation to the Agency were Williarn Paley of the Columbia Broadcasting System, Henry Luce of Tirne Inc., Arthur Hays Sulzberger of the New York Times, Barry Bingham Sr. of the LouisviIle Courier‑Journal, and James Copley of the Copley News Service. Other organizations which cooperated with the CIA include the American Broadcasting Company, the National Broadcasting Company, the Associated Press, United Press International, Reuters, Hearst Newspapers, Scripps‑Howard, Newsweek magazine, the Mutual Broadcasting System, the Miami Herald and the old Saturday Evening Post and New York Herald‑Tribune.

By far the most valuable of these associations, according to CIA officials, have been with the New York Times, CBS and Time Inc

Big Tech social media are the simply the new fake news journalists. Just sad stick men imagines of what they could have been. A mockery of what they could have been. They have morphed in state manipulated media just as Journalism went from the first amendment fifth estate to the slave of the state

!984 VS Brave new world? No They are just two side of the same coin. Fused together. One coin to rule them all. A world of virtual Carrots and Stick men. The eternal peace of brave New world has no definition with to the inherent definition of war. The eternal war of 1984 has not meaning without the implied definition of peace. War is peace. Peace is war. As a means of control both are weapons.

Outside the vast majority of the world's population. Big Tech is the biggest loser in this, What we are seeing the end of the internet internationally. It was probably coming anyway but censoring the leader of a country will just speed it up. It will make Social media as the slave, the tool of the dystopian oligarchy that is doomed to fail in the fires of chaos. .Trumpism is likely to be just a speed bump for the current form "The Great Reset" not the fire itself. I am sure the CCP will be very agreeable in word. However in action the CCP seeks the same power that the new world order /Great reset seeks. Both seek world domination. Not as a means of Power but as an ends. As is COVID-1984

Yes believe it or not the CCP cares every bit as much about Green, Journalism, Covid-19 and human rights as the folks at the World economic Forum do:

Trumpism is a rejection of totalitarianism/Authoritarianism. Better off only if it can adapt.

Well this post hasn't aged well :)

In all fairness, the only reasonable point Mr. P made then was that the Democratic party lacks a strong bench of potential leaders but that may be changing. If the Biden administration and Congress make the right moves over the coming four years, it will help cast the party's progressive wing in a more positive light and scrub away the stench of toxic labels foisted on them by the right wing.

It's already going well:
Today, Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (MI-13) led nine of her colleagues in sending a letter to Congressional leadership, including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, urging that national security powers not be expanded in light of the attack on the U.S. Capitol that occurred two weeks ago, as such measures often lead to the erosion of Americans’ civil liberties.

Unfortunately, the Neo-Cons are back in power even in the figurehead positions. Not that they ever really got out of power.....

We Should Be Very Worried About Joe Biden’s “Domestic Terrorism” Bill
Joe Biden used to brag that he practically wrote the Patriot Act, the Bush-era law that massively increased government surveillance powers. Now he’s hoping to pass a further “domestic terrorism” law once in office. The danger is real that the January 6 Capitol attack will be used as an excuse to severely curtail our civil liberties.

Excellent example of how once our elites force millions of people into "two sizes fits all," pandering becomes problematic.

Pander to the greenies, and you raise energy, food, housing, clothing, etc. prices for the poor.
Pander to the open borders cult, and you increase unemployment and lower wages for the "economically disadvantaged," "minorities," and union workers.
Pander to the yuge "men who want to show their superiority over women in sports" voting block, and you might just piss off the feminists and the soccer Moms.

Do straight women and gay men view themselves as political allies, or sexual competitors? Same for straight men and gay women.

Gotta love it. Luckily, the incitement of erections is finally being exposed!!!!

Could this be the stimulus that causes Mr. P to ask God: "Do you really need me here in Heaven to run things for you? Aren't these supposed to be the people who "get it" and don't need no adult supervision? Cause if you could send me back, I think I could do great things on this campaign! A different demographic identity this time around might increase my influence. Just sayin!"

The radio host Wayne Root interviewed Donald Trump a few days ago and
presented this game changing idea:

I want President Trump to run for a House seat in 2022. Pick a winnable
Republican district in Florida- where the President is beloved. I promise
74+ million Trump voters will get excited. They will volunteer, donate,
spread the word and yes, many will move to your district in Florida to help
elect you, Mr. President.

This isn't about one House seat. With Trump campaigning and leading the
battle, Republicans will sweep to victory in 2022 with the biggest GOP voter
turnout in history. We will win a GOP House landslide by 40 to 60 seats-
just like 2010 and 2014.

Now to the important part of my plan. Next, the GOP Congress elects Donald
J. Trump as Speaker of the House- the second most powerful job in America.
From that platform, Trump rules DC for the next two years. He is Biden's
worst nightmare...

Speaker of the House Trump can open a dozen criminal investigations against
Biden. He can lead the impeachment of Biden (how ironic would that be?). He
can block every single Biden bill. He will stop the Biden agenda dead in its
tracks.

And don't forget, Speaker of the House Trump can sit behind Biden for each
State of the Union address. I can't wait to watch that.

I told President Trump he will become an American folk hero. His legend will
grow even larger. His brand and actions will dominate DC politics leading
into 2024. From that platform, folk hero Trump wins the presidency again in
2024. After first saving America from the Biden disaster.

Trump was clearly fascinated by the idea. He should be. It's a game-changer
for Trump, for the GOP, for Congress, for America.

-The party is leaderless. There is absolutely no one in the Democrat Party who has name recognition. There is no one who can beat Trump. There may be no one who actually runs. The Democrat Party has no coalition of personnel. There is nothing.

The end of a party now exposed as collectivist statist criminals, will now be erased from the earth. We will be cruel. We will tell the truth and record it in the histories. The party of Slavery, segregation, Tammany Hall, marxism, soviet appeasement, terror appeasement, and record corruption and criminality in their final candidate. It won't be missed.

I heard this on the radio a little while ago. Apparently there is no requirement for the speaker of the house to be a member of congress.

Unfortunately, even if Trump ran and won a Representative seat, he would probably get even less support from the GOP as a Representative than he did as POTUS.

Even when specifically asked, Mr. Perfect could only name 3 republicans in DC who actually supported Trump.

The rules and tactics for dealing with political heretics are even more plain and more clearly understood than before.

Time for the GOP to move on past former POTUS Trump.

Perhaps that fellow in Florida, Gov. DeSantis.

The US MSM seems to be terrified of him.

An excellent observation. Anyone the US MSM adores should be exiled to the EU permanently. Greta Thunberg is one of many examples.

Anyone the US MSM hates is someone I'd enjoy having a few beers with. Most would be welcome in my house.

DeSantis would be an excellent POTUS, but the RINOs are still in charge of the state party. He needs to be in Florida a bit longer to consolidate power. Those merit badges on his sash are notable but very new.

The recent Florida statute allowing censored politicians to sue social media takes effect in July. The purpose is to allow Fla. resident Trump to sue FB, Google and Twitter. The prize for Trump is not legal victory but forced discovery. This could elevate DeSantis to popular national visibility

Gen. Flynn is the obvious successor to Trump at present. As former head of NSA he is one of the few with real power.

Hi Mr.P.
The Presidency is going to be less relevant as the devolution progresses. Besides, we need DeSantis here in Florida. First competent governor in recent memory and the county governments are a mess.
