speaking of pateron guy, this cover of Fleetwood Mac's Dreams popped up and if there were ever a song that is hard to ruin. You can prop any sort of arrangement behind that two-chord song and it's not gonna fall apart.

Funnily, I've never heard this played at Christmas and wasn't aware of the association.

For the longest time I thought the Pogues were just an Irish folk band, the only presence they'd have would be at a local Irish festival, where someone would inevitably playing their cover of Rocky Road to Dublin or the Irish Rover on the loudspeakers in some tent selling cds of Irish music.

It was easily the best ethnic festival in the area because they'd rent a whole campus out and there'd be the tents selling junk, food/beer and then a stage for three days of musical acts sh*tting on the British.

Second least appreciated song on my Christmas playlist. A winter song, not specifically Christmas like Fairytale.

2023’s breakout stars are teenage solo artists making music in their bedrooms, bucking the conventional identity of shoegaze as “band”-centric music with a barrier to entry amounting to the cost of a pedalboard and a Jazzmaster guitar. Wisp’s peers in quannnic, flyingfish, and sign crushes motorist have earned even bigger streaming figures than her within the last year, all as solo artists with little-to-no career experience. And while not all of them are interested in relinquishing their independence, the major-labels are a-knockin’.

Well, it won't be featured in a Hallmark Christmas movie.

On the other hand, it's brilliant.

One place we can see the big change of "cultural revolution" is the dramatic change in ART in Iran .. that includes Music and Movie, films

Iranians music before the revolution was trying to copy western music .. now it is 100% pure Iranian culture

Principally, Iranian instrumental music, musical rhythmic (now exclusively use Iranian music instruments) is "secondary" .. it is an "accompanying" of the LYRIC .. the Lyric is the heart of the music .. the Ritmus is secondary

Now many top top singers in Iran and instruments players

white rabbit is unfortunately in the same box as stairway to heaven for me - whatever qualities it might have once had are burnt away to the point of annoyance.

somebody to love however, total cracker, great to hear the voice as is.

Great Hall of the Tchaikovsky Moscow Conservatory, 23.10.2012

Lyrics : Hafez

On the 23rd of October, the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory was illuminated with the "Light of Orient" — which is an exact translation of the singer's last name, Nourshargh, from Farsi. Accompanied by "Ghamar," a famous instrumental group, he has introduced a unique art of classical Iranian avaz.
