https://www.pnas.org/content/118/20/e2102244118PNAS | Stabilized detonation for hypersonic propulsion
There is now an intensifying international effort to develop robust propulsion systems for hypersonic and supersonic flight. Such a system would allow flight through our atmosphere at very high speeds and allow efficient entry and exit from planetary atmospheres. The possibility of basing such a system on detonations, the most powerful form of combustion, has the potential to provide higher thermodynamic efficiency, enhanced reliability, and reduced emissions. This work reports a significant step in attaining this goal: the discovery of an experimental configuration and flow conditions that generate a stabilized oblique detonation, a phenomenon that has the potential to revolutionize high-speed propulsion of the future.

The chassis and original body was built in 1925, typical of the legendary rolls Royce Phantom I, but in 1934 something else happened:
Beginning its life with a stately Hooper Cabriolet body, this particular Phantom I was never delivered to its original purchaser in Detroit, after a last minute change of opinion. Instead it was re-sold as new to the Raja of Nanpara. It left northern India and passed through several more owners before making its way to Belgium in 1932. Two years later the Hooper Cabriolet found itself in the Jonckheere shops undergoing an extensive makeover.

Curvy indeed.

Wonder how practical are those round doors.

Asahi Shimbun | China’s Shenzhou-13 spacecraft docks for 6-month mission
BEIJING--Three astronauts entered China’s space station for a six-month mission, setting to work Saturday after successfully docking aboard their Shenzhou-13 spacecraft.

The astronauts, two men and a woman, were seen floating around the module before speaking via a live-streamed video. They pledged to do their best in carrying out their missions.

The spacecraft was launched by a Long March-2F rocket at 12:23 a.m. Saturday and docked with the Tianhe core module of the Tiangong space station at 6:56 a.m., approximately six and a half hours later.

The three astronauts entered the Tianhe space station core module at about 10 a.m., the China Manned Space Agency said.

Flight time (85kg/187lbs pilot weight) : 20 minutes

its just a fun ultralight/gyro copter type thing, a rich persons toy.

we wont get consumer flying vehicles until power sources magically get better and robots are doing all the driving - which will happen after we lose piloting rights on our ground based vehicles and its rented automatic teslas driving us to sanctioned locations only.

It would be a fun 20 minutes though.

How long would it take to kill off all the birds with consumer flying?

It'd be the big deal if we could eliminate some roadways. But I'm putting my chips on commercial mech suits.

$$92,000 toy for the rich and famous. Where is Robin Leach when we need him?
