Increasingly, you see entire albums on YouTube:

Typhoon wrote:Van Cliburn's performance back then was superlative.
Also, he was supported by a first rate conductor and orchestra.
The Russians still remember him with great admiration and affection.
I know very little about Liberace except that his personal style, which to someone enculturated with a "less is more" perspective, comes across as
Rococo on acid.
Apocrypha: the late great Horowitz is said to have remarked that "pianists are Soviet, homosexual, or bad."
I was going to say "What about Van Cliburn?" But I just did a minute or two of research and it turns out he was gay. I didn't know that.
This is one of my favorite recordings of his:

Van Cliburn | Sergei Rachmaninoff | Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Op. 43

Tarantino used the theme song from
Lady Snowblood in
Kill Bill:

On the other hand, this lead to a revival in interest in Kaji Meiko's discography.
She resumed her singing career and released a new song.
Anyways,
iZiYaAIoudY
the style is in that of
enka - jazzed up a bit.

Enka is no longer nearly as popular as it once was, many of the famous singers have now retired or passed away, however, I still enjoy it.
Far better than AKB48.

Seconded.
I had always mistakenly thought that
Miracles was by Jefferson Airplane. So Jefferson Starship did produce a great song.
