However you felt about the old Soviet Union, it is hard to find an anthem more stirring than this.

RIP for the 64 members of the Alexandrov Ensemble who perished in an airline crash in the Black Sea this past Christmas Day.

My father, a decorated veteran of the Red Army in WW2, would belt this out during holiday gatherings after having more vodka shots than he probably should have.
