it was a bi partisan decision to stop people smugglers who had caused hundreds of deaths to immigrants.

the idea is that having a small prison camp for anyone caught trying to sneek in saves more lives from people being put in shipping containers and dodgy boats.

my main problem is that they put it in new guinea which has weak oversight and no human rights, instead of putting it in australia and making it obey australian laws - it was a dodgy bit of lies from our government to get around UN treaties.

Yep. One of my previous dogs was a Red Heeler/Basenji mix. Maggie, one my current dogs is a Blue Heeler/Rottweiler mix.
