How many alphabet soup organizations do these ceremonial positions control nowadays?

The military rank and file are all GOP. The Bureaucrats can be expunged within moment of an inauguration.
funny how that never ever happens for Republicans.

You misspelt 'property of NBC/Universal' there.

It wasn't just the 90s' sex scandal [very 90s thing, I guess] it was him going broke, or near broke there and it was emotionally satisfying for a whole group of journalists and reporters who got to write whole forest-worth of articles about the fall of 80s excess and Reagan and all the things that warm the cockle of their hearts.

He was the poster boy for that and they intended to finish him culturally, even if he bounced back financially (as he did)

Circular argument, when you don't have the WH you don't have the alphabet soups by definition.

Depends on who you talk to. Democrats say that establishment willingly sold WMD lies for GWB's conquests.

hardly,
if it were so, half these bureaucracies wouldn't be the annoyances that they are if the top dog had total control.

We all know Congress has completely given up in this regard. That's why we get Forrest Gump life lessons about passing bills to find out what's in them.

If only there was an antidote in the form of candidate to get behind to solve that, someone willing to take on the establishment and hit them in the head with a sledgehammer, someone you would be willing to get behind because Lord knows the hounds of hell will be screeching at you for doing so, it would take a lot of courage.

if you dont think having a persona of being a raving a55h0le that shouts at women till they cry might have an influence on alienating some of the conservatives he needs, then thats what you think.

i dont think that - maybe im reading america wrong, perfectly possible, all i do know is that he wouldnt get anywhere in australia losing the more earnest christian types who dont like rude behaviour on a conservative platform.

right.

That is one turn off. And then there are the people who don't so much mind that but think that his tactlessness makes him a fool.

Interesting cultural difference. In Japan, traditionally, the person that shouts the loudest is perceived to be weakest and lowest in the hierarchy.
The most powerful person is the one who speaks the softest and most calmly, taking time to think about what he says and to choose his words.
"Speaks the least, but says the most."

I would think that any person with any sense of decency would be offended by this type of rude buffoonish behaviour.

Yeah, those "conservatives" gave us 2 terms of barack obama, the worst President in our history.

it is the biggest cultural difference between east asians and anglos :)

in the anglo world their is no harm at all in being brash and rude but their are limits to it and their are rules to when its acceptable and when you should back off.

confident and aggressive with a sharp wit are all good features, nasty person who abuses the weak, is not the same thing at all - while im sure mr p is correct and the media are editing to create that appearance of trump NOW, he created that appearance for himself on his own show to get ratings so its largely his own fault.

in my current work place, one of the chinese has taken " softest and most calmly, taking time to think about what he says and to choose his words." into a place of absurdity, you can barely hear him at all and he is so fixated on having the final, most correct word on every issue, everyone stops and waits for him to do so, then promptly ignores it and moves on.

its all ego games, different versions of face, its quite amusing working in mixed workplaces some times.

Lots of people cried on that show, just as they do singing vote off shows. Do you have any daughters.

I'm talking about "conservatives" who always come up with excuses to not stand by the party when the going gets tough. Always. There is 4-8 million of them in the US, if they just pulled their head out there would be no more Democrat party or liberal media.

a show that he cultivated a persona for himself for to get ratings via shockvalue

now he is an easy target by the media because of the persona he cultivated for himself.

best not to alienate them if you want the vote.

maybe trump will pickup more of the previously jaded non voters than he loses in the polite conservatives, that is possible, i would just be surprised.

Ermm, no I didn't alienate anyone, they just knuckle under to the media predictably at this point.

They turned Mittens Romney into an angry careless radical also. It's just what they do and certain types fall for it every time.

Folks,

At a recent Trump rally a protester was removed by security guards. As he was escorted out, Trump supporters responded with: “Light the motherf**ker on fire”, “Kick his ass!”, “Shoot him!”, “Bitch!”, “Sieg Heil!”.

Well for all of Trump's bluster, has he actually made a woman cry on his tv show as noddy suggested?

I slept on it and I really can't think of Trump 'yelling' that I know of. Then again, his indoor voice is a lot more brash, louder than the norm. But so it goes with a lot of people from the New York tristate area.
