Right-wing Israeli parliament passes solidarity bill. Mr. Perfect faints on his porch.Israel passes law to cap bankers' salaries
Israel has introduced one of the world’s toughest curbs on bank executives’ salaries in an effort to narrow a big pay gap between bosses and workers.
The legislation was pushed through by the finance minister, Rhubarb Kahlon, who, before last year’s parliamentary elections, ran on a platform of lowering the cost of living and reforming Israel’s banks. It was approved in parliament overnight in a 56-0 vote and will take effect in six months.
[...]
“There is a moral significance beyond the economic significance in this law,” Kahlon said on Tuesday. “It symbolises narrowing pay gaps, solidarity and consideration for the weak.“

Deutsche Bank to settle U.S. silver price-fixing litigation
Deutsche Bank AG has agreed to settle U.S. litigation over allegations it illegally conspired with Bank of Nova Scotia and HSBC Holdings Plc to fix silver prices at the expense of investors, a court filing on Wednesday showed.
Terms were not disclosed, but the accord will include a monetary payment by the German bank, a letter filed in Manhattan federal court by lawyers for the investors said.
Deutsche Bank has signed a binding settlement term sheet, and is negotiating a formal settlement agreement to be submitted for approval by U.S. District Judge Valerie Caproni, who oversees the litigation.

No. The reason no one practices it is because they were suckered by the promise of free stuff so they don't have to work anymore. Which of course has never shown up.Zack Morris wrote: Is that why no nation in the world practices the capitalism you advocate?

Ideology is another word for lazy, reductionist, cookie cutter thinking. Don't be an ideologit. Re: Capitalism and Its Discontents
I asked you what a 21st century ideology is and you made up something out of thin air as anyone can read.
Anti-ideology is an ideology, its as old as any, and the weakest because it is dishonest. Anti-ideology is employed when the ideology of choice has failed and can no longer be associated with in public.
The dying leftist message seems to be "there are these horrible problems over there and someone else should do something about them", Monty Python territory.
The fact is that leftism under obama and his international cohorts has been a complete failure and the only way it can survive politically is to scare the h#!! out of minorities.

Anti ideology is passive aggressive. Not surprisingly passive aggressive folks take to it like a Clinton takes to a Goldman Sachs meeting.
We can come up with different terminology if it will help.

Capitalism is wonderful for business ideology but has turned out horribly as a means of running government. Socialism seems to work ok for fire, police and public utilities but is a bad idea in general.Mr. Perfect wrote:Anti ideology is passive aggressive. Now we have neoliberal and neoconservative ideologies, which are simply two similar euphemisms for globalist imperialism (Hillary is functionally the same as Cheney). People can't seem to function without the intellectual crutch of outdated left/right, conservative/liberal, capitalist/communist dichotomies.
Ideology is the child of 18C rationalism and has no place in the post-modern world.

putting everything one encounters into a couple boxes that one is comfortable with seems a very common coping mechanism.

Walmart's VP of Emerging Sciences Shekar Natarajan demoed the retailer's new technology to reporters from a Bentonville, Arkansas distribution center on Thursday, on the eve of its annual shareholders meeting.
The drone technology will be replacing the jobs of inventory quality assurance employees, cutting inventory checks across massive distribution centers — the one in Bentonville is 1.2 million square feet — from one month down to a single day.
