I have a buddy who repairs section 8 housing. as he say "I fix the doors the cops kick in and the windows the drugs dealers break out running from the cops."

his stories are amazing. poor quality buildings. good kids with no decent adult role models. sad.

In the west we have cities like Boise, Salt Lake, Tucson/Pheonix, even Denver that are isolated and booming. Contrast that with a Spokane or Pocatello that struggle to keep pace, while neighbor Coeur d'Alene continues to grow.
