I probably read it somewhere but it occured to me the other day how confidence in the future is so tied to the having kids and building a family.
if you got nothing, and you are working at it, you can reasonably hope the future is going to be better.
if you got a paper shuffling middle class job, sleep walking your way to comfort, then their is only one direction possible, and thats down.
