As of noon January 25, 17 states have responded to this letter with promises to aid and assist Texas.

I know I get the tinfoil crown for this one, but we've been in civil war territory for some time now. Maybe one of the more pleasant civil wars one can imagine but we fit a lot of the sociological descriptors of a country in civil war.
It's in the air and plenty of fanatics who wish to accelerate it.
There is also a dangerous fantasy that it all aligns neat and orderly enough like the last formal American Civil War.
Is this a Fort Sumnter moment? No, 99.99999% certain of that.
But President Biden is just the guy to turn "facing consequences" in something worse. And if he doesn't do anything, more defiance is going to spring up.
It's in the air and plenty of fanatics who wish to accelerate it.

The military is divided, but civil war is not on the menu.
The Uniparty wants another try at prosecuting Trump for insurrection. They might get that.
America is 95% for Trump. If Trump had an effective ground organization the entire US would be one huge Trump rally, but Trump is entirely a media phenomena.
