Wahhabism versus Muslim Brotherhood

.

Unexpected Adversaries

in a nutshell : Wahhabism of Arabia versus the new (CIA groomed) Muslim Brotherhood

West thought, to counter Iranian Middle Eastern Muslim nationalism, to invent an alternative

Wahhabism would not work, already bankrupt

So

let's redo Muslim Brotherhood

Hand over secular Qaddafi Libya to vicious new breed of Muslim Brotherhood

idea was ,

don't worry, be happy

we take the oil (un metered)

and

be my guest

have as many wife you want

well

neither the wahhabism .. nor .. the crony Muslim Brotherhood will work

People of ME no idiots

It seems Az every time new segment created in the region, they become enemy of all existing segments, who were all enemies to begin with.

Interesting phenomenon.

I encourage everyone to read Bernard Lewis' Crisis of Islam: Holy War and Unholy Terror, as it describes briefly the separate origins of the Egyptian school of conservative Islam (or Islamism) and the phenomenon of Wahhabism from Saudi Arabia.

The book is like 200 pages and you will know more about the subject than any US General or talking head on Fox News.

The unsubstantiated claim above that the Muslim Brotherhood is a tool of the CIA is laughable. American money all went to Mubarak for decades, and he spent it killing and torturing suspected MB members, among others. The flip to side with the reform movement rather than the regime in Egypt was new to the Obama administration, but that didn't leave enough time for the CIA to take control of any faction, even if they had the skills to do so, which they've proven for decades they do not.

Maybe, maybe not. But it seems that a lot of Arabs are starting to think so. That includes Egyptians by the way.
It is too early to tell although them (brotherhood) threatening to severe ties with Israel if the US stops paying is sustpect in many eyes.
More surprising is them agreeing not to severe ties once they took control of the people's assembly.

America, west, must be a real durian, to take, one by one, Arab (speaking) nations, some major oil producers (Libya) from secular rule (Qaddafi, Mubarak, soon Syria) and hand it over to Islamist

Why should west do this ? ? ?

Notion west not doing this or democracy or west no control over this just BS

In Egypt, Americans were paying and organizing the revolt, seems even Israel had their agents agitating the revolt

In Libya west actively, on the ground and air fought Qaddafi & Libyan nation

Same now happening in Syria

(In Libya and Syria Turkey main player .. tried also an Egypt stunt)

So ,

question is,

why west doing this ?

only answer could be .. either .. the Islamist not the Islamist we knew so far .. or .. west has some special arrangement with Islamist

or both

All fact points to both

Turkey, probably, in Western boat, few reason

- Arab money flowing to Turkey
- earning Eu entrance
- gaining overhand over Arabs, taking Arabs under the wing
- countering Iran

But

not gono work

Arab Joe not Joe used 2B .. awakened

How can you consider Bernard Lewis a Middle East or Islam specialist is beyond me, Ibrahim

I have not read the book you mention .. but have watched quite a few of his interviews and clips, Charley Rose etc etc
