Re: Turkey

Yeah, it is stupid and wrong. I never said otherwise. That doesn't mean that a) the MB is the same as al Qaeda, or b) that Qtub having a stupid (and entirely typical for the period) attitude towards black Americans means that you can negate Egyptian democracy. And hey, Qtub didn't own any black peo...

Both the MB and OBL base their lavender, in part, on him, they manifest it in different ways, but the end goal is the same, so differences are merrily operational.

Re: The Anthropogenic Global Warming Controversy

I don't get why this graph is posted, people do realise the red line is spending more time above 0 anomaly over time.

the curved black line is spurious and misleading as it suggests anomaly prior 78 was greater which is incorrect.

Well if you can't join the dots between the people who give the ideological justification for actions and the people who carry out those actions there is not much point is there. You can be seen as saying Ghandi had nothing to do with the relatively peaceful ejection of the British from India, as ac...

Nano particles mimic protein

Chemical engineering researchers at the University of Michigan made a surprising discovery. Nanoparticles, small particles of inorganic materials, can behave like proteins--the building blocks of living systems. Like proteins, the nanoparticles self-assemble into shapes--complex microscale chains, s...

How was the election process unfair? The only "unfair" part seems to be that the wrong guys won, and the losers claim they could have mounted a greater challenge if given more time. I don't know what country you live in, but I'd like to see somebody table that next time an election is due...

Re: 3D Printing and Copyright

An interesting development.

Adds another dimension to the digitisation of a human. Say a mind can be transferred into digital format along with a biological blueprint of the individuals body. At a later date a replicant body could be printed out with the digitised mind re-installed into the brain.
