Weird looking gun, but I held the 60DS at a shop and it feels good. Nice weight, and both the single action and double action are smooth.

Re: Trophy hunting . . good or bad?

I just think I should be able to hunt fatties at Walmart. Thin the herd a little. Then, mount the deuce-and-a-half on a plaque and wax for hours about how I covered myself in BBQ scent and littered the floor with Twinkies to lure her in for the kill, and the perfect shot from 50 meters straight thro...

Re: Reverse brain drain: Economic shifts lure migrants home

ALI, The "bad guy" in this story isn't the educated and hardworking foreigners working in the U.S. on VISAs...it's the bastards at the Corps who want to drive even skilled U.S. wages to some global equilibrium, and the politicians of the good cop/bad cop "parties" who make it hap...

Re: October Surprise: Only Obama can go to Tehran

Tough call for me. I actually think Obama's foreign policy is in the ballpark for the best option for our situation, and the Republican rhetoric on FP is empty chest thumping (or just "well, we have to oppose the other team's policies" that is an unfortunate product of our poisoned binary ...

Re: Were Hans, Hannity & Azari right.....

On a serious note, I get home and I hear they are sending out warships to Libya which makes no sense to me. This is a classic U.S. way of demonstrating strength and providing an exit option for embedded personnel. I doubt a shot will be fired. Military acronym is NEO (non-combattant evacuation) pla...

In the former Yugoslavia there were extensive NATO ground forces deployed. If not in Kosovo proper at the specific time you are referencing then nearby. This is somewhat different from the Libyan war, where not only was there not any substantial ground deployment, but no realistic prospect of one. ...

Either way (Obamney or Robama), we'll still get the same foreign policy/domestic security policy...Kosovo-style war against Assad, full-scale war against Iran, a trade war that expands to armed conflict with China, drone attacks in Yemen, Somalia, Pakistan and other less-documented countries, GITMO...

Re: Republican Vice Presidental Candidates

It appears that Romney was going for a "game changer". He may generate excitement, but not all of it will be positive. For example, his Medicare proposals won't be popular outside of the hard right. So it will be the guy who gave us Romneycare paired with the guy who wants to essentially ...

Just ban white men and ban rage (although the thread on American anxiety is very relevant to this discussion IMO). As for banning guns, all that would do is make the U.S. (at best) pay to incarcerate another 1 to 50 million citizens who are gun owners and will finally sack up and refuse to turn them...

I'm not in that community on either the ops-end (Nevada folks and forward deployed) or with the sensor-end (DGS in multiple locations). The folks I've interacted with seem segmented by the fact the folks doing "call-outs" from the sensors to the pilot/shooters in another place. It's a weir...

American youth culture of today, inspired by movies, music, video games, history , and lots of bad parenting.
