Nobody is saying that even though that is exactly what happened.
Limbaugh, Hannity, and Beck are saying that. I would imagine others that aren't on local radio are also saying that. None in the larger MSM are there yet.
Big money and power are at stake here, if the above is true, one has to wonder how many thinly veiled threats of "I know which side of your bread the butter is on, I also know where you live, where your parents live, and where your children go to school....." have been issued to date. Severed horse heads found in beds are not needed.
If the above are true, and the facts come out, it will be interesting to see who on the republican side gave approval to the plan prior to the start. Not too hard to imagine senior democrats approaching senior republicans (or vice versa) with a discussion of "An outsider POTUS is a threat to your party, just as much as he is a threat to our party. We got a good thing going here. If this hits the fan, can we count on you to tamp down the junior, ideological members of your party, and assist in media spin?"
So much drama and hype, and so little red meat to date. It will be interesting to see who is willing to go the distance, and who thinks his allies in this endeavor are trustworthy.
I think Trey Gowdy announcing he will not seek re-election is not a good sign.
