They got the black vote, the female vote, and obviously, every male voter (legal and illegal) in the country locked down on day one.
slogan needs more work though, and of course, a video! "Make Americans Awesome F**kers Again!"?
Indeed.

Too kind of you. However, I am not yet old enough to consider embarking on my potential second career.Simple Minded wrote:I am not worthy Sensei! You are my hero! Phd in physics and a porn star. the theme song is already written:

Reason And Passion
And the priestess spoke again and said: "Speak to us of Reason and Passion."
And he answered saying:
Your soul is oftentimes a battlefield, upon which your reason and your judgment wage war against passion and your appetite.
Would that I could be the peacemaker in your soul, that I might turn the discord and the rivalry of your elements into oneness and melody.
But how shall I, unless you yourselves be also the peacemakers, nay, the lovers of all your elements?
Your reason and your passion are the rudder and the sails of your seafaring soul.
If either your sails or our rudder be broken, you can but toss and drift, or else be held at a standstill in mid-seas.
For reason, ruling alone, is a force confining; and passion, unattended, is a flame that burns to its own destruction.
Therefore let your soul exalt your reason to the height of passion; that it may sing;
And let it direct your passion with reason, that your passion may live through its own daily resurrection, and like the phoenix rise above its own ashes.
I would have you consider your judgment and your appetite even as you would two loved guests in your house.
Surely you would not honour one guest above the other; for he who is more mindful of one loses the love and the faith of both.
Among the hills, when you sit in the cool shade of the white poplars, sharing the peace and serenity of distant fields and meadows - then let your heart say in silence, "God rests in reason."
And when the storm comes, and the mighty wind shakes the forest, and thunder and lightning proclaim the majesty of the sky, - then let your heart say in awe, "God moves in passion."
And since you are a breath In God's sphere, and a leaf in God's forest, you too should rest in reason and move in passion.
You sir are a genius! I have not read The Prophet in years, need to do so again. You have whatever diplomatic job you want staring in 2020.Parodite wrote:Why not Ben Shapiro for president and Oprah Winfrey as vice president? They would make a nice couple with both reason and passion covered. They would win with a landslide! They need to talk.

Some Americans are strongly opposed to Trump, which they denounce, among other things, as an arrogant billionnaire.Simple Minded wrote:I heard two comments from women regarding Oprah
Good points Alexis. That's why Hollywood sponsors their own award shows to congratulate themselves on their superiority.Alexis wrote:Some Americans are strongly opposed to Trump, which they denounce, among other things, as an arrogant billionnaire.Simple Minded wrote:I heard two comments from women regarding Oprah
My two cents: if they want to have a chance at replacing him in 2020, they better not choose another arrogant billionnaire.
Just sayin'.
And yes, that's exactly what Ms Winfrey is. She is still remembered here in Paris as the American who thought a luxury shop had to remain open just for her, outside of normal opening hours... because she is who she is, or more precisely because of her money. And the one who threatened to use her media savvy to launch a global boycott against French maker Hermès, because she had been refused special above-the-others treatment. Because her arrogance had not been accomodated. Link in French here.
On another occasion, she tried to have an employee of a luxury shop in Switzerland fired, accusing her of "racism" on a preposterous pretext. She failed: the shop "regretted" misunderstanding but defended their employee who they said had made no error.

An unfortunate image for Oprah as she looks like a mama-san pimping a young girl for Weinstein.Doc wrote:Simple Minded wrote:someone beat us to the opposing campaign poster:Alexis wrote:Some Americans are strongly opposed to Trump, which they denounce, among other things, as an arrogant billionnaire.Simple Minded wrote:I heard two comments from women regarding Oprah

If there’s ever going to be a “teachable moment” on the dangers of concentrating too much power in the executive branch, it ought to be right now.
When it comes to President Trump and race, there is a predictable cycle. He makes a remark that seems racist, and people engage in an extended debate about whether he is personally racist. His critics say he is. His defenders argue for an interpretation in which race plays a secondary role (such as: Haiti really is a worse place to live than Norway).
It’s time to end this cycle.
No one except Trump can know what Trump’s private thoughts or motivations are. But the public record and his behavior are now abundantly clear. Donald Trump treats black people and Latinos differently than he treats white people.
And that makes him a racist.
