It’s too damn ironic.
The flamboyant founder of the Rent Is Too Damn High Party has endorsed moneybags landlord Donald Trump for president.
Jimmy McMillan made the stunning announcement Friday.

http://www.foxnews.com/world/2016/01/30 ... anada.htmlCandidate's legal name change puts 'none of the above' on ballot in Canada
Published January 30, 2016 FoxNews.com
The ballot to fill a legislative seat in Canada next month includes none of the above—and it’s a real person.
Sheldon Bergson, 46, had his name legally changed to Above Znoneofthe and is now a candidate for the Ontario legislature, the CBC reports. The election is Feb. 11.
The ballot lists candidates in alphabetical order by surname so his name will be the 10th of the 10 candidates as Znoneofthe Above, according to CBC.
“I’m aiming for all of the people who don’t normally vote,” Znoneofthe said. “I thought one of these days we should get ‘none of the above’ on the ballot.
The bank customer service rep has run for public office before as a National Party and independent candidate without success.
Znoneofthe vows to keep his new name if he is elected.
One of his opponents is running on the line of the None of The Above Party.

Not ironic at all given that progressives made the rent to damn high through rent controls limiting the number of available apartments.YMix wrote:It’s too damn ironic.

So there is an event, the Iowa Caucuses, going on now.
Going by memory, this is an event where the candidates have delegates to the conventions selected?

Yup. Iowa is the first one but is not a bellwhether or particularly important. The dowdy girl who shows up at the dance early and helps make the punch.Typhoon wrote:So there is an event, the Iowa Caucuses, going on now.

I'm hoping Sanders or Trump labels one of these strip club money blasters 'Goldman Sachs' and unloads on H at a debate.

So now we get to spend the next several days going over how 'important' Iowa is, until the next primary, where we forget about the results and move on.
I curse those Iowans who have resurrected Marco Rubio.
Why are we addicted to these first term Senators? We really got to stop with that.

.
The real revolution in Iowa was "Sanders" .. Hillary pretty much lost
But .. Sanders "central argument", political campaign financing overhaul, a non starter
Congress and Senate must change that law, they ain't (no matter what) .. president has nothing to do with that
Congress and Senate "representing" the SPECIAL INTEREST .. they no represent Joe .. this pretty much accepted (and in US constitution)
There is "ZERO" chance American lawmakers (Senate and Congress) be (really) elected by Joe .. Zero chance
This definition of "Capitalism" .. Capitalism means people with money decide things .. Joe in reality (politically) nobody .. if Joe does not play ball, big boys bring in recession (if needed, depression) till Joe cries uncle .. understood and agreed by both sides.

I was actually worked up about it. Very interesting results. Both Cruz and Rubio are up over Clinton in RCP. If the choices are now between Rubio/Cruz/Trump that is a good thing for me.
I'm very pleased that Democrats are deadlocked between a Socialist and a career Criminal. I can't think of anything better to represent the Democrat Party.

No. Democrats do not practice democracy. In Democrats, they have "Superdelegates" (pls google) so if Sanders wins majority of votes Hillary will still win. HIllary should be nominee.Heracleum Persicum wrote:.

Not really, if people outside system start winning big and making change, no reason to give money more. It's in the hands of the people, always has been.Congress and Senate must change that law, they ain't (no matter what) .. president has nothing to do with that

No, this called "human condition", been going on long before anybody said the word "capitalism". Capitalism about private property rights and free market prices, etc. Rich having power goes back, all the way, everywhere you look.

1) Trump is not inevitable, and we may winnowed down to 3 finally.
2) HRC is going to move left, damaging her in the general
That's about it.
Why don't you tell us who you endorse.

Fascinating election. A lot of rules being broken, but not the ones anyone was expecting.
The GOP picture is far more complex than the Democrat one, but the most interesting theory I have heard regarding the whole night is that Trump and Clinton underperformed because Iowa voters didn't want a coronation, that is if either had won outright the nomination would have been effectively over at that point.
I think HRC is still the likely nominee, the GOP side is totally up in the air. I'm glad though that 2 of the 3 GOP guys are already ahead of Clinton at RCP averages.
Trump vs Clinton could easily end up with Trump winning. Clinton has more bombs ahead for her, a failing economy and emails at the top of the list, and if Trump is on his game he can end her candidacy at the first debate.
I endorsed Rubio, he is probably a lock in the general, but my heart is with Trump. The greatest potential is with Trump.

Having two parents from Cuba (Rubio), or even just a Cuban father (Cruz) is enough to be from an "ethnic minority"?

. . Rubio’s organization is not only his campaign but the Republican establishment and conservative movement as well. He can even count on the organized power of the mainstream media aiding him, for while the old media may dislike Republicans in general, they particularly loathe right-wing populist Republicans like Cruz and Trump.
