The Boston Tea Party was an event where a bunch of political radicals dressed up in costume and engaged in Direct Action Civil Disobedience, they destroyed private property in order to protest a corporate monopoly and big government collusion.
And yet, somehow, some PR mastermind was able to convince people that the Occupy movement and the Tea Party movement were at odds. And the rank and file populists within both movements actually bought into it.
One of the greatest ironies of our time IMO.
