The LA fires are far beyond party politics and incompetence. These fire events in California and Hawaii over the past few years appear to still be classified.

I thought that the "river smelt" point was a pun / joke but it turns out to be true.
Don't know if the # of gallons is accurate,
but apparently enough water has been diverted to have a negative effect on farmers and, now, firefighting efforts.

Somehow, the biological survival instincts of a number of our fellow human apes have turned into a dead and very dry, inflammable undergrowth of nonsense. Mother Nature, however, doesn't seem to think of this as tragic—it's just her way of things.

According to Dr. Phil, this "left-wing" Green New Deal priesthood is neither concerned nor ashamed because there is serious gain; nothing is more rewarding than feeling like the saviors of the world, especially when life is experienced as distinctly meaningless, subjected to random misery and with no believable god(s) available anymore to save you.

Unfortunately, this Green New religious deal also requires a serious and old-school sacrifice. The poor and innocent are ideal redemption fodder. Climate change the deflection, diversion and sales pitch, CO2 the Devil.

For the downtrodden and traumatized parts of the woke LGBTQ+ community, it is sweet revenge to see other innocent folks suffer when life and society rejected them for no apparent, reasonable reason. However, it’s not a very smart way to ignite empathy in others. But that is most likely not their intention to begin with—they just bring you the bill in retribution currency.
