It does not seem easy to assess the actual contribution vectors of these NGOs+military+business interests in the events where mutiple forces are at play. Complexity to the max!
I keep seeing people like him making the same error over and over again certainly re Ukraine, making it appear like only because of Nuland & Co there was an orange revolution, a coupe against democratically elected politicians. 2/3 of Ukrainians of middle and west Ukraine genuinly wanted to get rid of the pro-Russian playbook by corrupt oligarchs. To then corner the Russian speaking rest in the East of course is stupid.
So it is not a black-white thing. But the suggestive nature of his analysis where events in the world are all controlled if not heavily influenced by The Blob is a superficial analysis still. Correlation is not 1:1 causation ever. Many devils in many details.
I also wonder: what if the worst scenario is true, and that this blob of military and business interests do by and large cause and control these events. How bad is that? Then one has to compare not moralistic absolutes, but realistic alternatives.
Do I believe that if the West, blob included, were a morally sound entity and ethically prudent and wise force, the world would be a better place? It could be me, but ny guesstimate is it would be as sad a place or even worse. Other equally bad players like China, Russia or the Islamic Umah Ideologues would probably fill the void and the then emerging reality looks even darker. If a cynical western blob is needed the reign them in, I'm not against it one bit.
