Scrolled down the front page of a social media site called Reddit.
I'm dumber for having done so.
Useful site if one wants to kill off some brain cells.
Reddit is great for extremely specific topics. If you find a fossil you can find a paleontologist to id it and tell you all about it. Hobbies in particular are valuable subreddits.
A classic example of mission creep.
The Bulletin of Atomic Scientists started out as a 20th century who's who of physicists warning about the danger of nuclear war.
Today, anyone can join. Illustrious members include Anthony Watt's, founder of WattsUpWithThat.com, dog.

Fair point.
Although scrolling through the r/physics section left me unimpressed.
Returning to the Reddit front page, I wonder what is the age distribution of Reddit users.

Ordo amoris is solid Augustinian theology. I saw it earlier this week on X expressed as ‘Luxury beliefs’ of the malordered ethics of the woke.

"Quit Stalin" I knew a girl that was a hardline communist in college. I wish I had that card back then. But I suppose she would have thought me a Maoist for giving it to her.
